Abstract

Introduces techniques for estimating wave conditions in deep and shallow water. Wave growth and propagation in deep and shallow water, parametric relationships and numerical models are discussed. Wave transformation near a coast and its modelling are also considered. The accuracy of wave prediction techniques is briefly discussed. (J.M.M.)
