Abstract

The water content of the Zubo (Lake Zurich) sediments decreases and their bulk density increases, both logarithmically with depth. Correlations of water content and bulk density to sonic velocities and thermal conductivity have been observed. The lower Zubo sediments are more compacted than marine sediments of any given depth, because of ice-loading effects.-from Author
