Abstract

We report a patient with a massive inferior vena cava (IVC) thrombus requiring immediate intervention. The patient underwent successful thrombectomy using a percutaneous catheter aspiration system. Percutaneous removal of an IVC thrombus is a safe and effective treatment option for severely ill patients. doi: 10.1111/jocs.12366 (J Card Surg 2015;30:265-267)
