Unitarity in antisymmetric tensor gauge theories

We discuss gauge-fixing and BRST invariance, and outline an explicit verification of one-loop unitarity for the gauge antisymmetric tensor field model of Freedman and Townsend. The quantizaton of this system raised issues similar to those raised by the Witten string field theory, and have a similar resolution requiring, among other things, the presence of three-ghost couplings.
