Various factors which govern the transport of heavy metal pollutants in saturated soil (i. e. saturated porous medium) are discussed. Chemical adsorption is modeled by an equation describing the dependency of the sorbed concentration on the solution concentration. The volume averaged mass conservation equations using the Langmuir coefficients have been applied to the experimental results.
