Abstract

Two case reports are presented involving complex liver traumas requiring the need for liver trans-plantation. Both of these patients were designated unsalvageable until the transplant team was consulted. It is imperative that surgeons involved with complex hepatic trauma not give up hope and include these patients as potential liver recipients when irreversible liver failure occurs.
