The prophylactic antiemetic effect of droperidol

Abstract

In a double blind controlled study of 41 patients undergoing hysterectomy during ether anesthesia, 5 mg. of droperidol was found to provide a safe and statistically significant antiemetic effect during the first 12 postoperative hr.
