Abstract
A method is described for the direct assay of conjugated bile salts by fluorometry, thereby eliminating the necessity of prior deconjugation. Its application to human duodenal juice micellar phase lipid has been demonstrated. The modification proposed should facilitate the over-all process of identification and quantitation of bile salts in biological fluids.
