The determination of the developmental stages in the hamster using erythroid cell development

Abstract

A technique was developed for the determination of developmental stages by measuring the electronically determined volume of fetal blood cells. The size shifts of the nucleated and nonnucleated cell populations as well as the release of liver reticulocytes that occurs between the twelfth and thirteenth days provided hematological correlates of gestational development.
