Two examples of supraventricular tachycardias with prolonged QRS complexes were presented. This prolongation was produced in one case by the previous existence of an organic bundle branch block and, in the other case, by aberrant ventricular conduction of the atrial impulses, due to the rapid heart rate. The importance of the correct diagnosis was stressed, especially when prognosis and treatment were to be considered.
