Abstract

The results of P wave synchronization in man employing a bipolar atrial and a bipolar ventricular catheter have been presented. As the P-ventricular stimulus interval is increased, a ventricular rhythm with retrograde P waves and a re-entry mechanism was found. The characteristics of the rhythm are discussed together with the possible significance thereof.
