Abstract
Fifty-five patients affected by alopecia areata have been treated with squaric acid dibutylester or diphencyprone. Complete regrowth has been noted in 24 of the 29 patients affected by patchy alopecia areata and in 6 of the 26 patients affected by alopecia totalis or universalis. The Authors discuss the results.
