Sonographic diagnosis of asymptomatic cervical dilatation in a complete placenta previa

Abstract

We describe a case of placenta previa at 37 weeks' gestation in which transvaginal sonography revealed a complete placenta previa overlying a dilated internal cervical os in the absence of any vaginal bleeding or uterine contractions. To our knowledge, no similar case has been described.
