Abstract

Calculations showing the detailed effect of applying selective pulses to an inhomogeneously broadened spin system are presented. Experimental results confirming the predictions are also given and demonstrate the conceptual correctness of NMR imaging methods based on selective irradiation. As an example, an NMR cross-sectional image of a live finger is also presented.
