Seizures due to metrizamide myelography in patients with acute cervical spine injury

Abstract

Two patients each experienced a grand mal seizure after metrizamide myelography for acute cervical spine injury. Because of the potential disastrous consequences of a seizure in a patient with an unstable cervical spine, it is suggested that metrizamide be avoided in this setting whenever possible.
