Abstract
Roller compacted concrete (RCC) has long been a known technology for paving. Looking at the more recent projects employing RCC, one thing in common can be observed: the pavement supported heavy and slow-moving traffic. This article discusses the advantages and disadvantages of RCC, mixture characteristics, and factors affecting pavement quality. A report on a demonstration project is also presented.
