Recording heads with track widths suitable for 100 Gbit/in2 density

Abstract

Recording head properties at densities above 40 Gbit/in2 was experimentally studied. It was observed that ultra-narrow track-width heads can be made to function and indicate the possibility of achieving 100 Gbit/in2 recording density.
