Re-examination of the role of the Kondo divergence in band formation for high Tc superconductors

Abstract

The role of the Kondo effect in the formation of coherent bands near the Fermi surface of a superconductor was analyzed. In connection with superconductivity there is a close analogy between Cooper pairs and Kondo singlets. The mobile singlets become superconducting carriers when coherence sets in. The quantum critical point is suppressed by the superconductivity which is the striped phase and the single ion Kondo effect.
