Abstract

A simple technic for endotracheal intubation in the unpremedicated rabbit under halothane oxygen anesthesia was developed. This technic, based on the knowledge of the anatomical structures, required no special equipment and allowed for control of an airway, maintenance of desired planes of anesthesia, and near normal physiologic parameters during the experiments. With proper mastery of the technic, no complications were encountered.
