Abstract
1. 1. Purine nucleoside kinase activities (adenosine kinase, deoxyadenosine kinase and arabinosyl adenine kinase) in mouse tissues were in the following order: liver > kidney > heart > lung > brain > spleen > intestine. 2. 2. Ratios of deoxyadenosine or arabinosyl adenine kinase to adenosine kinase were significantly higher (10-200 fold) in human lymphoid cells than in mouse tissues. 3. 3. Leukocytes from T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemic patients had 5-20 fold elevated adenosine deaminase as compared to normal T-cells.
