Abstract
Contains the scientific results for both Legs 137 and 140, which recovered samples of igneous rocks from Site 504. The geophysical, geochemical and petrological properties of the samples were examined and in-situ measurements were taken in order to gather information on the evolution of oceanic crust. The individual contributions, abstracted separately, are organised into the following sections: igneous petrology; geochemistry; alteration; structure and paleomagnetism; physical properties and downhole measurements; and data reports.
