Abstract

Malformations of cortical development may occur in isolation or as a feature of a multisystem disorder. A multimodal presurgical evaluation including detailed neuroimaging, functional imaging, clinical examination, and EEG continue to direct the localization of the area of seizure onset. Focal fast activity and unusual high-amplitude δ slowing are the most frequently encountered EEG patterns.
