Abstract

Specimens of the form Ca1-xLaxMnO3 (0≤x≤0.2) are utilized to study the effect of electron doping on the magnetic saturation moment Msat(5 K). The systematic behavior of Msat(5 K) vs x is understood through a phenomenological model which suggests the existence of local ferromagnetic regions within the antiferromagnetic host for 0.03
