Abstract

The present report analyses prognostic factors in 118 patients in whom criteria for the diagnosis of polymyositis are clearly defined. A relatively favourable prognosis, both for death and disability, has been demonstrated and factors of prognostic significance identified. Treatment is discussed, mean follow up 6 yr.
