Abstract
A case of paraneoplastic dermatomyositis associated with a primary hepatic carcinoma in a 69 year-old male patient is reported. The patient presented, in addition to the typical signs of dermatomyositis, impressive necrotic-hemorrhagic lesions on the internal canthi, the periungual areas and on fingertips. The epidemiology of paraneoplastic dermatomyositis together with clinical criteria, including necrotic-hemorrhagic lesions, which might suggest this condition are discussed.
