Abstract
In a pilot program of outpatient anesthesia for pediatric ophthalmology, 164 patients aged 10 or under, weighing less than 100 lb. and in good health underwent ophthalmic examinations and minor surgery during a 3 yr period. Satisfactory results and substantial savings in cost for both the hospital and parents were recorded. Details of the procedures are presented.
