Abstract
The potential of modern somatostatin analogues in treatment of a variety of malignancies still remains to be established. However, much experimental and clinical evidence suggests that modern somatostatin analogues could provide a useful palliative form of treatment for some tumors. Somatostatin analogues could be also considered for use as adjuncts to therapy with LH-RH analogues in breast cancer and prostate cancer.
