Abstract
Evidence for the existence of a specific substance (CRF) controlling the discharge of ACTH has been presented. The chromatographic mobilities of CRF activity are discussed is those of vasopressin, oxytocin, σ-and β-MSH, and ACTH. The possible existence of two types of molecules with CRF activity (σ-CRF and β-CRF) is discussed.
