Abstract
A Nyquist-like technique using boundary image maps for the assessment of stability of two-dimensional digital control system models has been reported in earlier studies. However, this method, although attractive in principle, is time-consuming and complicated. More recently a more efficient technique using minimum boundary image maps has been described. In this study it is shown that the most recent proposed method does not guarantee stability.
