Abstract

Bovine rhodopsin was extracted and purified through an Ecteola cellulose column with 2% solution of Triton X-100. Using an ultrasensitive Langmuir-film balance, the molecular weight of the detergent-free rhodopsin was determined and is found to be 35,200 ± 1200.
