Abstract

Magnetic force microscopy measurements were made to investigate skew angle effects in perpendicular magnetic recording. The recorded tracks were produced using a focused ion beam. Three-dimensional boundary element modeling was performed. Possible solutions for the skew angle problem were also investigated.
