Abstract

Labia minora reduction is a technique for reducing the width of the labia minora and is indicated in the case of labia minora hypertrophy, congenital or acquired, or in the case of emotional or psychological distress or physical limitation caused by the presence of protruding labia minora. While many techniques have been developed for reducing the labia minora, central wedge resection is most commonly used and described here. Possible postoperative complications include over-resection, wound dehiscence, scarring, asymmetry, dyspareunia, hematoma, and infection.
