Abstract
While there is evidence for the existence of HCo(CO)//3,**6 there is no information regarding the rate of formation of this compound or analogous alkyl and acylcobalt tricarbonyls. The author also report measurements of the rates of **1**3CO exchange for each of these species. These data provide support for the authors proposed mechanism and furnish fundamental information relevant to the hydroformylation reaction.
