Abstract
In the past, spine infections were catastrophic diseases with high mortality/morbidity rates. With the advances in new diagnostic procedures, multimodal antibiotics, and advances in surgical approaches and techniques, prognosis of spine infections has improved over recent years. The importance of avoiding delayed diagnosis and usage of proper antibiotic therapy directed towards biopsy culture results cannot be stressed enough when managing spine infections.
