Improved MR metabolite image reconstruction

Abstract

A method is proposed for improved reconstruction of volumetric magnetic resonance spectroscopic imaging (MRSI) of the brain. This data is typically under-sampled, resulting in spatial blurring; however, resolution at object boundaries are between different tissue regions can be improved by incorporating a priori spatial information obtained form high-resolution tissue-segmented MRI data with a parametric model of the acquired data.
