Abstract

Acute onset hypesthetic-ataxic-hemiparesis is described in two hypertensive patients. Computed tomography (CT) showed an area of increased attenuation consistent with blood in contra-lateral thalamus. The pathophysiologic implications of the cerebellar and pyramidal system in thalamic hemorrhage is discussed.
