Abstract

The ability of all-trans-retinoic acid to stimulate granulocytic differentiation makes it useful in the treatment of acute promyelocytic leukemia. Recent findings suggest that this drug can also induce post-maturation apoptosis through the Apo-2L/TRAIL death ligand.
