Abstract

Currently the hematoxylin and eosin staining procedure is the most popular among Mobs surgeons for histology. However, safranin O, a cheaper and relatively safer stain which is predominantly used for plant histology, should be considered as it offers similar or improved accuracy in the diagnosis of frozen sections of basal and squamous cell carcinomas.
