N2 - Spectral sky radiances computed through a simple model, based on an approximate solution of the radiative transfer equation for a plane parallel, homogeneous, cloudless atmosphere bounded by a lambertian surface, are compared with high angular resolution measurements taken with an electrooptic spectral Radiance Distribution Camera System. Elements of the model, field measurements and results of the comparison between theoretical and experimental data, are given and discussed.
