Functionally compact spaces

Abstract

The purpose of this note is to introduce a property which is weaker than compactness but stronger than minimality which closely relates to some filter properties and some mapping propertiesof compact spaces. We also indicate some procedures for constructing absolutely closed and minimal spaces.
