Abstract
In the framework of N=2 supersymmetric models, with matter representations chosen to ensure a vanishing function, we work out the relations between soft N=1 supersymmetric and/or supersymmetry-breaking terms which preserve finiteness. We show explicitly in an SU(2) example that these very simple conditions are supple enough to allow for a spontaneous symmetry breaking of the gauge group, with a potential bounded from below.
