Abstract

Errors in diagnosis and treatment of foot and ankle tumors are common. Malignant tumors are unsuspected because they are rare. In addition, these patients initially see individuals without experience in recognizing and treating malignant tumors. Adequate staging, recognition, and referral to cancer treatment centers can improve outcomes for patients with malignant tumors of bone and soft tissue.
