N2 - Euclidean Weyl gravity, like Yang-Mills theory, can be expressed in terms of electric and magnetic field variables. The action is the square of "dual" combinations which can be reached by one-to-one transformations from the underlying metric variables. This property does not hold for Einstein or generic quadratic actions, as it rests on conformal invariance. As in Yang-Mills, Weyl self-dual spaces are automatically solutions of the field equations.
