Calcium channel blockers are widely used to treat a variety of cardiovascular diseases including hypertension. Diltiazem on account of its favorable side effect profile has become well-accepted treatment for angina and hypertension. In this paper we report a case of sustained release diltiazem overdose (6.7 grams), highlight the clinical features and discuss its management.
