### Abstract

A study was performed on the density functional theory of charged, hard-sphere fluids. The first-order direct correlation function (DCF) in the particle densities was computed. A particular reference fluid densities (DFT) functional together with bulk formulations for the input direct correlation functions that accurately reproduced the results of Monte Carlo simulations was presented.
