Abstract
The decoherence of an arbitrary quantum register (QR) of L qubits was studied. In addition to providing a general theoretical framework for studying decoherence, the limits where the qubits are assumed to couple were examined. The results lead to the identification of decoherence-free states in the collective decoherence limit.
