Abstract

With the exception of hurricanes, ocean currents were the major environmental event during the Cognac platform installation. Surface and near surface velocities approaching two knots and velocities of half this magnitude at depth were measured. Continuous current profiles with depth and time for nearly ten months were made to assist in the field operations.
