Abstract

This paper contains an analytical approach for measuring the productivity of industrial production machines. The contention of the paper is that where discrete manufacturing machines are concerned productivity can best be assessed by methodology which focuses on performance rather than on cost. The application of computer programs to facilitate execution of the productivity measurement approach is illustrated.
