Abstract

Refractory ventricular tachycardia with retrograde conduction to the atria was treated with propranolol. This drug induced retrograde ventriculoatrial (V-A) block without impairing forward (A-V) conduction. The electrocardiographic findings are presented, and the mechanism of action of the drug are discussed.
