Abstract
Corticosteroid inhibition of lymphocyte transformation was compared with ability to raise intraocular pressure in ten corticosteroid-sensitive patients. Dexamethasone used topically in the same concentration as fluorometholone had more than three times the ocular hypertensive effect but was similar in in vitro potency. A dissociation was also found for prednisolone and medrysone.
